Highlights of the Morocco Royal Tour 2025 in Tetouan

Riders from France, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and beyond shine on the Morocco Royal Tour 2025 stage.

After a successful kick-off, the competition continued this Friday, September 19, at the Hipica arena in Tetouan.

CSI4-W – 1.40 m – Special Two-Phase – 274.2.5 – PRIX SAKIA EL HAMRA*

Following his first-ever victory in Morocco, French rider Jeremy Le Roy declared:
“It was a beautiful event, designed by a top-level course designer. We often see him in France and we knew the track would be both interesting and technical. We came with competitive horses, which gives us confidence for the rest of the competition.”

Morocco shone in this class thanks to the victory of Jad Guerraoui and Gloria de Kreisker, ahead of compatriot Badr Khiati with Iggy Pop d’Asschaut. The podium was completed by Lilia Cherkaoui riding Evarado, confirming Morocco’s strong presence in the event.

After his first podium of the Morocco Royal Tour 2025, Jad Guerraoui shared his impressions:
“I am very happy to have won today’s 1.25 m CSI1 class at the Morocco Royal Tour in Tetouan. My mare was fantastic and allowed me to give my very best. I would like to thank Charif Moulay Abdallah Alaoui (President of the Royal Moroccan Federation for Equestrian Sports) for his trust and for giving me the opportunity to ride these horses, including those of the Federation. Now I am preparing for the CSI1* Grand Prix with the same mare, and I hope everything will go well.”*

At the end of the day’s major event, which also served as a qualifier for Sunday’s Grand Prix, 50 riders are now officially qualified.

Winner Ramzy Al Duhami commented:
“I am very happy with this victory. I feel at home here thanks to the warm welcome and support of the public. The organization and the committee are doing an outstanding job, which makes the competition even more enjoyable. With Untouchable 32, everything was perfectly in place and she didn’t need much preparation. To the young riders, I always remind them that the key is the bond with your horse and the inspiration you take from the best.”

French rider Florent Jeannin, based in Morocco, celebrated his first international win under local colors with great enthusiasm:
“The Morocco Royal Tour is always superbly organized. Of course, I am French, but having lived in Morocco for eight years, this victory feels like a win at home. I am very happy, especially since this is my first international victory with my mare, after many successes at the national level. We have only been working together for one year, which makes this achievement even more special.”
