The Morocco Royal Tour 2025, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will be marked by the participation of some of the world’s most renowned riders and equestrian enthusiasts from across the globe.
The Tetouan stage will welcome this year top-level riders representing more than 15 countries, with around 200 horses and over 100 riders from Morocco, Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Africa.
For the first time, riders from Argentina and Bahrain will join the competition, alongside traditionally well-represented countries such as Brazil, Egypt, Italy, France, Poland, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Ukraine, Spain, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia.
According to the organizers, this strong international participation highlights the global dimension of the event and the trust it enjoys from leading equestrian institutions worldwide, while also offering Moroccan riders a unique opportunity to compete on home soil against the world’s elite in show jumping.
Spectators will enjoy four days of high-level competition, including two evening sessions under the lights on September 19 and 20, starting at 8:30 p.m.
The circuit will then move to Rabat from September 24 to 28 at the headquarters of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Federation (FRMSE), before concluding in El Jadida from October 2 to 5 with the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, held within the Horse Show—a popular event celebrating Morocco’s rich equestrian heritage.
Both stages will benefit from new modern infrastructures, including brand-new sand arenas in Rabat and El Jadida, illustrating the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its position on the international equestrian scene.
The Morocco Royal Tour program features 40 events, including 13 counting for the Longines Ranking List FEI, three CSI 4* Grand Prix events qualifying for the World Cup, 18 CSI 1* events including three CSI 1* Grand Prix, and the CSIO4*-W Nations Cup in Rabat, which will bring together the world’s best teams.
Organized by the Morocco Royal Tour Foundation, which brings together the Royal Guard, the FRMSE, and the Horse Show Association, the MRT has become a landmark event promoting sporting excellence.
Through this opening stage, the Morocco Royal Tour continues to play a key role in the development of national equestrian sports and in promoting Morocco’s influence on the global sporting stage.
Since its creation, the MRT has stood out for its unique format, hosting competitions in three different cities over three consecutive weekends, drawing the attention of riders worldwide and playing an important role in discovering new talents.
Previous editions of the MRT have been highly successful, with the participation of more than twenty countries, welcoming an elite of riders who have already won Olympic medals and world and continental championships, as well as many international show jumping stars.
Since 2018, the Morocco Royal Tour has been upgraded to CSI 4* level, with the Rabat stage elevated to CSIO4* status, hosting the prestigious Nations Cup.
